masks will be optional for all
Effective Friday, May 28th, following the latest guidelines issued by the CDC, the State of NJ, and feedback received from our valued guests, masks will be optional for all guests and team members regardless of vaccination status. If you have not been fully vaccinated or have a weakened immune system, the state recommends that you continue to wear a mask for your own protection, however, it is a personal choice and we will not be asking or disclosing vaccination status of our staff or guests. We kindly ask everyone to respect the privacy of others within the salon. If you prefer your service provider to wear a mask during yourservice, please inform our front desk and we will gladly accommodate you. As always, we appreciate your support and understanding and look forward to seeing smiling faces.

To Our Beloved Clientele
By now, most of you know that we received a reopen date of June 22nd from our governor. As soon as it was announced, our phones, social media, and our email were blowing up with requests for appointments. We are so thankful for your enthusiasm and we cannot wait to return and see you all again!
After patiently waiting for the governor’s announcement earlier this week, once we heard it, we were deflated. He gave us a reopen date, and then followed by saying we must await for him to release his guidelines, which should be out in the next few days. After all of this time waiting, we are now waiting for him to release guidelines, which we must adhere to if we want to stay in business.
We just learned today that this matter is not even on the agenda for discussion until Tuesday, June 9th. We are very disheartened, not for ourselves, but for you, who have been so patient in your waiting.
We are truly sorry that we cannot book any appointments at this time. Believe me, it is the hardest thing to tell you that after all of the support and encouragement that we have received from so many of you.
Please know that we have worked diligently on our reopening plan and we have everything in place, including a brand new schedule for every employee, who has had to reduce their schedules to 6 hour shifts to accommodate the anticipated guidelines. Everything we have planned for and put in place is based only on speculation about what the guidelines might be. We have adopted policies from OSHA and also from other states that have reopened, but we have yet to confirm that they will be sufficient for our governor and our State Board.
Once we receive these new guidelines, our plan is in place to call and reschedule everyone as soon as humanly possible by dividing and conquering, but to do it before then may only provide more false hope and disappointment to all of you, our loyal clients. We are hoping and praying that the date he gave us does not get rescinded due to the rioting and that the guidelines will be released very soon after their meeting on Tuesday. We are so appreciative of your patience as we muddle through this and hope you know how excited our entire staff is to return to work to see all of you again. Once the guidelines are released, we will post on our social media and on our website what you can expect in this initial phase of reopening.
We love all of you and look forward to June 22nd!
April 29th, 2020
First and foremost, we want to thank all of you for your patience, your loyalty, and all of your kind notes, comments, and emails during this time that have provided us with encouragement and hope that make it easier for all of us to shuffle through this pandemic. We hope and pray that you and your families stay safe and healthy and we can’t wait until the day we can see you all again. We realize what a difference it can make in anyone’s life to feel their best and each day we grieve over the fact that the ability for us to help you with that has been stripped away.
According to our last update, we were hoping to reopen on April 30th, but as you must know by now, that day will come and go with us being no closer to having even a guess at a new reopen date. As you can imagine, we are waiting fervently for Governor Murphy to make a decision to move forward with his reopen plan.
While many of us may seem to be unaffected in this area, it is critical that we be aware of and sensitive to the fact that many have been tragically affected by this pandemic and we must pray for and offer our support to those who are still fighting it or have lost the battle. We also need to keep in our hearts and our minds all of the medical workers and essential workers that are still out there working long, hard hours to keep us safe and supplied with our basic needs.
We want to reassure you that we are using this time to ensure the health and safety of all of our staff and guests upon reopen. There will be quite a few, very apparent changes to the way we operate on a daily basis and we will be following strict sanitation protocols that we will be asking each of you to adhere to in order to allow us to continue to provide services without compromising the health and safety of our community.
As soon as we get a solid reopen date form Governor Murphy, our front desk staff will begin by rescheduling any appointments that were missed due to the closure and then move on to new appointments that need to be booked. Please know that our staff is eager to return and has committed to working extended hours and days to accommodate all of you. We all look forward to the day when we can be together again.

Due to the restrictions in place for COVID-19, we regretfully may not be able to honor appointments that have been made for the coming week. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please know that all of us are certainly looking forward to the day when we can see our clients and each other again.
Once we receive word that the restriction has been lifted, anyone with existing appointments will be contacted by someone from our dedicated front desk team to reschedule. At that time, we will be expanding our hours to accommodate your needs. If you need to reach us before then, please use our online contact form.
We appreciate your patience and your loyalty and pray that you and your loved ones stay well through this crisis.
March 16th, 2020
To promote social distancing at this critical time, Mancuso Salon and Spa has made the decision to voluntarily close our doors until Tuesday, March 31, 2020.
This decision has not come easily but we feel we must do our part for the safety and well being of our clients, our staff, and our community. We will do our best to keep you informed through our social media platforms and our website.
For those of you who do have appointments, our front desk team will be reaching out to help you reschedule them and to help answer any questions you may have. We will also be checking our messages on a regular basis and returning phone calls within 24 hours.
Thank you for your understanding during this difficult and unchartered time.
But let’s be real, the Summer sunshine isn’t always your best friend. It seems to bring along some of my not-so-favorite things like frizz, breakage, grime, and split ends. So you may be…
